More and more Internet
browsers now include features that block popup windows. HeraldNet
features very few of these. If you experience any such problems,
however, try disabling this feature in your browser. In Internet
Explorer, select "Tools" from the topmost menu bar, then "Internet
Options," select the "Privacy" tab, and uncheck the "Block pop-ups"
box. In Firefox, click "Tools," "Options," "Content," and uncheck
the "Block Popup Windows" box.

Where is the page/link/image/submit
button I am trying to view?
Internet Security software,
most notably Norton Internet Security, will block content, frequently
by default and without notice. You may experience blank pages, forms
that won't submit, or missing content on the sites you're visiting.
If you've installed any security software or firewalls, make sure
that the heraldnet.com domain has medium or default level of access.
HeraldNet strives to provide a safe and secure Web surfing environment.
You can be assured that HeraldNet does not have any software or
will not install any software on your machine that will compromise
the security of your personal data. We are not, however, responsible
for any 3rd-party advertising or Web sites you may link to from
HeraldNet.

Where is the story I just
heard about?
HeraldNet updates frequently
throughout the day. Our home page is changed daily, as indicated
by the date in the upper right corner of the main story. Internet
browsers may store temporary copies of pages for quick access, however.
Many pages on HeraldNet are also cached by our server for data retention
and faster page viewing. Some organizations or Internet service
providers (such as America Online) may also cache or save Web pages
on their servers and supply them to the next subscriber that tries
to browse them as a way of saving Internet bandwidth and making
the page load faster. To view the most current edition of HeraldNet,
hold down the "CTRL" key ("CMD" on Mac) and then press the "R" key.
Internet Explorer users may also press the "F5" key. If this doesn't
work, try deleting the cache or temporary internet files from your
machine, or reducing the amount of space your browser uses to store
pages. In IE, select "Tools" from the topmost menu bar, then "Internet
Options," then on the "General" tab, click "Settings" (under the
"Temporary Internet Files" heading), and check "Automatically" or
"Every visit to the page." In Netscape, select Edit -> Preferences
-> Advanced -> Cache and choose "Automatically." This will ensure
that your browser will always check for the most current version
of the page.
