SPECIFICATIONS - Frequently Asked Questions

What are the PIXEL dimensions of my ad?? We follow IAB (Internet
Advertising Bureau) standards in ad sizing. Our leaderboard ads are 728 pixels
wide and 90 pixels high. Our Big Box ads are 336 pixels wide and 280 pixels
high. Our Large Skyscraper ads are 160 pixels wide and 600 pixels high.

What is a PIXEL??
A pixel is a unit of measurement used in images and graphics. A pixel is unique in that it is dynamic, and can look larger or smaller depending on the size of a person's monitor and screen resolution.

How large can the file size of my ad be??
We generally recommend that the file size remain under 100 kilobytes (kB) in size. Animation, photographs, and moving images create larger file sizes. You want an ad that has an effective message, that speaks clearly, is pleasing to the eye--and most importantly,
downloads to the reader's computer quickly. By limiting your file size, you will have an effectively balanced ad.

How long can my ad animate?? At this time, we have no specific controls on animation.

What types of ads do you accept??We accept all known formats of online advertising. This includes GIF, animated GIF, JPEG, Flash, HTML, Javascript, IFRAME and 3rd party ad tags.

Do you provide a report showing impressions served and clicks??
Yes. However, in the case of 3rd party ad tags, we do not have clicks. In this case, the click data is gathered by the 3rd party ad server.

Do Flash ads have any special requirements??
If you would like us to track clicks for the ad, you need to provide us the editable FLA file in addition to the SWF file) so we can embed standard ad delivery clicktags into the ad.

How long does it take to start running my ad??
If you're sending us an ad, we generally can have it up and running the same day we receive it. If we're creating the ad, depending on the nature of the ad, we generally can have an ad up and running in a day or two.

Can my ad link to my Web site?? Yes, we can also create special types of ads that can collect email addresses, or deep-link to many different pages within your site, depending on user interaction.
