The Alderwood Little League all-star beat Pacific Little League 6-5 to win the District 1 9/10 championship July 10 in Marysville. This is the first 9/10 championship for the Alderwood, which is celebrating 50th year. The Championship capped an amazing run by the Alderwood Team. After winning its first two games Alderwood suffered its only tournament loss putting the team in the difficult position of having to win five consecutive elimination games to claim the championship. Alderwood finished the tournament with a 7-1 record, while outscoring its opponents 88-42.
