Concert presales: New Year's Eve shows; Blake Lewis now on sale

Posted at 9:59 am

Yep, it’s that time already, time to get tickets for New Year's Eve shows.

Buckethead tickets went on sale for his Dec. 31 show at the Moore Theatre last week. This week, we’ve got presales for the critically lauded group DeVotchKa (playing the Showbox at the Market) for an almost affordable $35, and Seattleites the Presidents of the United States of America (at the Paramount Theatre), for a slightly hefty $50.

Between the three, I’d go for DeVotchKa. The club’s smaller, the price is cheaper, the acclaim is greater. But the Presidents might entertain as well. Buckethead, well, he plays guitar like a man possessed, if that’s your thing.

Read on to link to the presales. Just remember, all the ticket prices don’t take into account hefty service charges. And if I missed a show or presale password that you know about, stick it in the comments section.

  • DeVotchKa, at Showbox at the Market, presale from 10 a.m. Thursday to 10 p.m. Friday, $35. Presale password is “showbox.” Tickets for the New Year's Eve show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • The Presidents of the United States of America, at the Paramount Theatre, presale from 10 a.m. Thursday to 10 p.m. Friday, $50. Presale password is “stg.” Tickets for the New Year's Eve show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • Australian Pink Floyd Show playing "The Wall," at the Paramount Theatre, presale from 10 a.m. Thursday to 10 p.m. Friday, $35 to $45. Presale password is “sunshine.” Tickets for the Dec. 7 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • The Virgins, at Chop Suey, presale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, $10. Sorry, but I don’t have the presale password for this one. Tickets for the Dec. 20 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • Also on sale:

  • Blake Lewis, at the Showbox SoDo, $12. Tickets for the Nov. 7 show on sale now.
