Homecoming activities

Posted at 1:39 pm by John Boyle

A few notes from the UW Alumni Association regarding homecoming events:

Gov. Christine Gregoire has declared Friday as “Purple and Gold Day” in celebration of the UW’s Homecoming festivities.

Friday is also the day of the UW Alumni Association’s annual Homecoming Rally in Red Square. The event begins at 8 p.m. and brings students and alumni together for free food, live performances by the Husky Marching Band and Cheer Squad, and special appearances by UW student athletes and coaches. KJR sports radio host Dave “Softy” Mahler and Husky Hall-of-Famer Greg Lewis will co-emcee.
