Hey, wanna see something scary: Favorite horror movies 10/6/08

Speaking of Paris Hilton ...

Horror movie characters/actors you'd love to kill

Posted at 12:01 am by Jacqueline McCartney

Yes, I know Paris dies in “House of Wax,” just not fast enough for me.

One I’d love to kill off — seriously, I would have put down cold hard cash — is Shelley Duvall as Wendy Torrance in “The Shining.” Almost every line that comes out of her mouth screams, “I’m acting.” She started out so hysterically so early in the movie that when she had real reasons to be terrified, she didn't have anywhere to go with it.

And her snot-snorting gulps make me want to throw the remote (or a box of Kleenex) through the TV screen.

Then there’s Kate Beckinsale in “Underworld,” Baby Firefly (played by Sheri Moon Zombie) in “House of 1000 Corpses” and “The Devil’s Rejects,” Louise Fletcher and Richard Burton and Linda Blair in “Exorcist 2,” and Heather Lagenkemp in any “A Nightmare on Elm Street” sequel because she's apparently forgotten she’s not playing a prickly, outburst-prone teenager anymore.

Oh, yeah, and the entire cast of “‘Manos: The Hands of Fate.” Except I want to watch while Torgo does it. (I admit I've only seen the MST3K version. That was sufficiently painful.)

Post below and tell me who’ve I’ve left out. There are thousands to choose from.

Let us not forget the utter garbage that is...
Drew Barrymore in the opening moments of Scream. That was such an over acted piece of garbage that even my dog could have acted it more believably.
