Meadowdale vs. Glacier Peak football: Halftime score

Posted at 7:55 pm by Mike Cane, Herald Writer

I'm watching a good one at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Snohomish.

In the first Wesco 3A game of the season for both teams, Meadowdale and Glacier Peak are tied 7-7 at halftime.

The first half flew by, mainly because Meadowdale generated several long, clock-eating drives. But the Mavericks have just seven points to show for it. Naji Moore-Taylor has 65 rushing yards and a TD for Meadowdale.

Meadowdale scored first. But late in the first quarter Glacier Peak tied it when John Darling plunged into the end zone from 3 yards.

Glacier Peak (1-3), a first-year school, is trying to upset Meadowdale (2-1), the Wesco 3A coaches' preseason favorite.
