A lone killer Tuesday is blamed for taking six lives, including a Skagit County sheriff’s deputy, and injuring four more. Police determined the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office had the best capabilities to investigate the deaths, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said. “We need a location that is going to suit the needs and do the victims justice,” Goetz said. An autopsy on one victim in the Tuesday killings, Leroy Lange, 64, of Methow, was completed by the Skagit County coroner, Goetz said. The remains of the other five victims, including slain deputy Anne Jackson, 40, are expected to leave Mount Vernon at 3:30 p.m. and travel south on I-5 in a motorcade to the medical examiner’s office at Paine Field, Goetz said. Police on Tuesday arrested Isaac Zamora, 28, of Alger. He is being held on $5 million bail at the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of murder and attempted murder.
