Did you watch the American volleyball teams excel at the Olympics? Are the names
Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh still fresh in your mind?

If so, you might be a little more excited than usual about the 2008 prep volleyball season. Plenty of talented individuals and solid teams from our area are gearing up for what should be a special fall.

Five local teams are included in the Washington coaches’ state preseason poll: Monroe, Shorecrest, Archbishop Murphy, King’s and Darrington.
