Mill Creek man robs Rite Aid pharmacy, demands cash and drugs

A 21-year-old Mill Creek man was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 21, after he allegedly robbed a Rite Aid pharmacy.

According to police, the suspect approached the pharmacy counter at approximately 7:30 a.m. and displayed a note demanding OxyContin and cash. Witnesses didn't see a weapon, but the suspect implied that he was armed, according to reports from the Mill Creek Police Department.

Police began tracking the suspect who was spotted by Mill Creek officers in the area. Officers with the sheriff's office and the Mountlake Terrace Police Department helped set a perimeter, while a K-9 unit from Lynnwood was called in to assist with the search.

A woman reported to 911 at approximately 8 a.m. that she noticed a man hiding behind a trash can at Hollywood Video.

Officers arrested the suspect, who was positively identified by witnesses, and booked him in Snohomish County Jail on robbery and obstruction charges, according to police reports.
