A King County jury Tuesday convicted Karl Solid of Bothell. He was charged last September under a new law that makes a person's fifth DUI in a 10-year period a felony. Solid's blood-alcohol level measured 0.28 percent, more than three times the legal intoxication threshold for driving. He was arrested on State Route 522 near Bothell. Deputy Prosecutor Val Richey says Solid got his first DUI in 1991.
