PREP SOFTBALL: Everett beats Arlington

SEDRO WOOLLEY -- Everett defeated Arlington 9-3 in a second-round game in the Class 3A District 1 softball tournament at Janicki Fields on Thursday.

Everett plays a winner-to-state game at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Arlington and Everett won their first-round games earlier Thursday. Arlington defeated Sedro Woolley 1-0 and Everett defeated Meadowdale 9-1.

Meadowdale plays Sedro Woolley in a loser's out contest.
