Surf the Web to save on gas

Posted at 9:49 am by Elaine Helm

Driving to work this morning, I noticed that the price for regular unleaded at my neighborhood gas station was up to $3.87. Ouch.

No doubt many of you are feeling the pain, too, especially if you commute to work in Seattle or elsewhere in the Puget Sound region.

For those who must drive, The Oregonian compiled some online resources to help find the cheapest prices around.

For others, walking, biking, riding the bus or carpooling to work are viable options for coping with the rising price of fuel. Friday is Bike to Work day in Snohomish County, and other Bike to Work events are going on throughout the month. Learn more or sign up at www.commtrans.org or call 425-348-2369.
